Overview
The QC - CWI position involves overseeing the Quality Control department's operations, implementing quality control processes, and leading a team of inspectors and welding professionals to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the Quality Control department.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
- Lead a team of QC inspectors and welding professionals to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Perform certified welding inspections according to industry codes and standards.
- Verify and document welder qualifications and welding procedures.
- Conduct visual inspections, non-destructive testing (NDT), and other quality control tests as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes, regulations, and customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, tests, and certifications.
- Collaborate with other departments to address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance to welding personnel to improve skills and promote a culture of quality.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in welding technology and inspection techniques.
- Conduct regular training sessions on quality control procedures and standards.
