Overview
SAVARD Personnel Group is seeking a Marine Electrician with experience in marine and industrial electrical systems. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring safe electrical connections for vessels at dock.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair electrical systems across shops and dock (480V/240V/120V systems).
- Troubleshoot and resolve outages, equipment failures, and power distribution issues.
- Maintain lighting systems, panels, breakers, transformers, and disconnects.
- Maintain electrical components of cranes, forklifts, compressors, welders, and shop equipment.
- Diagnose motor controls, starters, VFDs, and control panels.
- Assist with installation of new equipment, including wiring and commissioning.
- Support fabrication shop needs (temporary power, welding machines, etc.).
- Maintain shore power systems and dock electrical infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to vessels while at dock.
- Ensure safe electrical connections for visiting vessels and job setups.
Requirements
- Must have experience in Marine and or Industrial Electrician.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems (single-phase and three-phase).
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, controls, and distribution systems.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for field work.
- Marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial experience.
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, and automation systems.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- TWIC card (or ability to obtain).
- Occasional overtime and emergency call-outs required.

Additional Information
- Shifts: Monday-Friday, 0700-4:00 PM with overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
