Overview

AGI is a global food-based infrastructure company that provides equipment and technology solutions for agricultural commodities. The Flame Table Operator will set up and operate cutting and welding machines to fabricate metal products.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, or tend ESOP and plasma torch cutting machines.
• Adjust and start welding machines using knobs, buttons, or computer instructions.
• Load work pieces into welding machines to join components.
• Provide directions to other workers regarding machine setup and use.
• Correct operational problems by adjusting controls or stopping machines.
• Inspect completed metal work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Record operational information on production reports.
• Read blueprints and production schedules for job instructions.
• Utilize nesting software to create work orders for plasmas.
• Assemble and align work pieces into holding fixtures.
• Calculate production measurements for bonding parts.
• Remove completed work pieces from machinery using hand tools.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure cutting processes meet specifications.
• Select and position jigs and fixtures on machines.
• Choose torch consumables and settings based on metal types.
• Compute settings for new work based on metal properties.
• Prepare metal surfaces using hand-operated equipment.
• Maintain and adjust equipment for efficient operation.
• Regulate electrical current and gas flow pressure.
• Tend auxiliary equipment used in cutting processes.
• Transfer components and assemblies using moving equipment.
• Add chemicals to work pieces or machines for cooling.
• Mark weld points and positions on work pieces.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent education/experience.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Computer literate.
