Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality welding on various materials.
- Support the assembly and fabrication of equipment with a focus on precision and safety.
- Read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and general arrangement drawings.
- Assemble, lay out, and fit components for welding and fabrication.
- Perform TIG welding with purge techniques on stainless steel, carbon steel piping, and hydraulic lines.
- Produce full-penetration welds suitable for sanitary environments.
- Silver braze and/or solder copper refrigeration lines.
- Operate or learn to operate computer-controlled orbital welding equipment.
- Use a variety of machine tools and metal fabrication equipment safely and competently.
- Work at heights and in confined spaces, and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, or lifting up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and self-motivation.
- Proven experience with TIG welding and purge techniques.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a job shop environment.
- Commitment to safety and precision in a regulated production environment.
