CPP is a world-class supplier of titanium castings and components for the aerospace industry, seeking Student/Recent Graduate TIG Welders to join their team in Albany, OR. The company offers a range of benefits including bonuses, health insurance, and retirement plans.
Responsibilities
- Perform titanium TIG welding in a chamber to repair castings.
- Use tools such as calipers and profile templates to accurately repair castings.
- Collaborate with the team on rework plans to ensure castings meet specifications.
- Use a grinder to shape tungsten.
- Load and unload castings from the chamber.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work area.
Requirements
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a formal welding vocation program required.
- Must pass an annual eye exam.
- Ability to bend, lift, push, and pull castings with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Basic high-school level math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to use small, fine tools.
- Good attendance record required.
- Continuous mental and/or visual attention to detail required.
- Ability to understand measurements and use measurement tools correctly.
- Ability to work as a team player and be self-motivated.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED required, but relevant experience may be considered.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Solid job history including more than 1 year at previous or recent employer preferred.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check.
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment and periodic drug screening.
