Overview
RDF&P, Inc. is a fast-paced, team-driven custom metal fabrication shop located in Forest Grove, OR, seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder / Fitter to join their team. The role involves working on various projects, including structural pedestals and custom steel fabrication.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate, fit, and weld metal components to meet project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specs.
- Perform FCAW welding to AWS D1.1 standards or as required.
- Cut, shape, and assemble parts using hand and power tools.
- Measure accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other tools.
- Execute fitting, rigging, assembly, and mechanical tasks per project requirements.
- Operate forklifts and shop equipment safely.
- Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and shop standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, and fitting.
- Experience with FCAW, MIG, and TIG welding.
- Ability to meet AWS D1.1 or similar welding standards.
- Familiarity with shop tools, plasma cutters, and fabrication equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and work around large steel components.

Additional Information
- Monday–Friday schedule with varying shop hours based on workload.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required.
- Work location is in person at Forest Grove, OR 97116.
