Overview
Ascentec Engineering is hiring a Tig Welder II/III responsible for TIG welding high purity Aluminum Semiconductor parts. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timeliness in a machine shop environment while preparing products for welding and ensuring quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create quality welds according to CAD prints.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, robustness, and workmanship standards.
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel/aluminum parts.
- Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.
- Maintain proper entry into the time and attendance system.
- Perform other job-related duties as necessary.
Requirements
- Responsible for proper packaging, identifying, and moving finished products.
- Ensure all equipment is set-up and used safely with all safety devices in use.
- Perform first piece inspections and subsequent inspections as required.
- Perform simple maintenance and repairs as required.
- 4-5 years of Aluminum welding experience preferred.
- Good mathematical ability and ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Experience with a variety of metals (stainless steel, titanium, aluminum) is preferred.
- Self-starter, self-motivated, flexible, and detail-oriented.
- Reliable and dependable with a positive customer-focused attitude.
- Professional demeanor and respectful to people in all situations.
- Team player willing to help others as tasks change.

Additional Information
- Swing Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- On-site position, not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
- Works in a machine shop environment and may lift up to 50 lbs.
