Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Welder Level 1. This entry-level position is ideal for those looking to start their career in welding, offering valuable hands-on experience and skill development in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Welding Shop team by assisting with daily operations and tasks.
• Learn and practice basic welding techniques under supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety and environmental policies and procedures.
• Use appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Address safety concerns immediately with supervisors or lead welders.
• Complete all required safety trainings within designated timeframes.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support shop operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year of on-the-job training in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields or equivalent combination of work experience and a welding certification.
• Working knowledge in Stick (SMAW) or Mig (GMAW) welding.
• Familiarity with the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) and American Weld Society (ASW) weld symbols.
• Basic understanding of the different steel materials used within the fabrication shop.
• Ability to work in harsh environments while promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Some travel required (10%).
• Driver’s license in state of residence is required.
