Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for various applications.
- Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures.
- Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
- Inspect worksite for obstructions and structural integrity.
- Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions and other workers' activities.
- Cut and thread pipe using various tools and machines.
- Bend pipe by hand or with machines.
- Assemble and install metal and nonmetal pipe and fittings.
- Join pipe using various methods including threaded and soldered joints.
- Secure pipe to structures using clamps, brackets, and hangers.
- Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Test piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure.
- Weld holding fixtures to structural steel members.
- Travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
- Maintain relations with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
- 4+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED Certification (preferred).
- Applicable Pipefitter training and certificate from NCCER, NCCCO, or approved 3rd party certification body (preferred).
- Knowledge of MIC Health and Safety programs and project-specific regulations.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy.

Additional Information
- Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.
- Travel required up to 90%.
