Responsibilities
- Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain piping and piping systems.
- Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.
- Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications.
- Inspect worksite to determine presence of obstructions.
- Plan sequence of installation to avoid obstructions.
- Cut pipe using various tools.
- Thread pipe using a threading machine.
- Bend pipe by hand or with a pipe-bending machine.
- Assemble and install various types of metal and nonmetal pipe and fittings.
- Join pipe using various methods including threaded, caulked, and soldered joints.
- Use hand tools to secure pipe to structure.
- Install and maintain refrigeration and air-conditioning systems.
- Test piping systems for leaks.
- Weld holding fixtures to structural steel members.
- Travel to different jobsites on limited notice.
- Maintain in-depth relations with team members and supervisors.
Requirements
- 4+ years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- High school diploma or GED Certification (preferred).
- Applicable Pipefitter training and certificate from NCCER, NCCCO, or from approved 3rd party certification body (preferred).
- Knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations.
- Common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to work within precise standards of accuracy.

Additional Information
- Full-Time position scheduled to work typically 50 hours per week.
- Travel required up to 90%.
