Overview
Cryogenic Technology Resources (CTR) is a leading provider of industrial gas products and services, focusing on enhancing productivity and profitability for customers. The MIG Welder role involves high-precision metal joining in cryogenic manufacturing, ensuring structural integrity and leak-proof seals for components used in low-temperature environments.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on specialized alloys, focusing on thin-gauge materials and intricate assemblies.
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
- Clean, cut, fit, and assemble metal components for welding.
- Set up, operate, and maintain MIG welding machines, torches, and related tools.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and aesthetic quality.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
Requirements
- Understand different metals, welding processes, and safety regulations.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Some lifting is required up to 50 lbs.
- 1 to 5 years of experience as a TIG Welder.
- Mechanical experience is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints is a plus.
- Must be a reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Welder.
