Overview

Ideal Tridon is a global leader in fastening solutions and is seeking a 2nd Shift Robotic Welding Operator for their Smyrna, Tennessee Plant. The company is committed to quality and service, pushing the boundaries of innovative design in their products.

Responsibilities

• Select and change tools per SOP.
• Apply principles of basic welding fundamentals and understand AWS symbols and blueprints.
• Conduct visual inspection of parts to confirm correct weld path.
• Identify and select correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, operations, and programs.
• Create and modify robotic welding programs and conduct welding cell cycle time calculations.
• Troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance of robotic and welding equipment.

Requirements

• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills.
• Knowledgeable of automation equipment, processes, and systems.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Adapt to technology changes quickly and seamlessly.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
• Manual dexterity to handle clamps and operate equipment.
• Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and time keeping systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent required, with classes in Robotics and/or Welding at the Junior College level.
• Certificate in Welding, Metals Fabrication or Machining and/or an associate’s degree in Welding or Robotics preferred.

• Schedule: Monday - Friday
• Shift: 2nd 3:30pm - 11:30pm
• Work in a loud, noisy, and congested environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and dust.
