Overview
The Production Technician role at Hazelett involves working on the 2nd shift to manufacture large steel casting belts using automatic and semi-automatic machinery. The position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and craftsmanship in a company recognized for its leading metals processing technology.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture large steel casting belts from steel sheets and coil stock.
- Operate large automatic and semi-automatic machinery.
- Perform shearing, welding (GTAW), grinding, washing, grit blasting, and coating.
- Box and crate the belts, involving cutting, nailing, and stapling.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment.
Requirements
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Mechanical ability/experience preferred.
- Experience with construction/carpentry tools and automated machinery preferred.
- Experience operating a forklift preferred.
- A drive and willingness to learn and share knowledge.
