Job Description

Overview

The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates for the Airport Senior EVS Attendant position, which is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Department of Aviation. This senior-level role involves performing a full range of environmental services duties while providing support to Airport EVS Attendants across various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of daily work activities and provide guidance on established procedures.
  • Support training efforts and participate in routine quality inspections to ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Perform specialized cleaning tasks such as carpet care and floor maintenance.
  • Operate heavy duty or specialized cleaning equipment and drive on the airfield as required.
  • Communicate via two-way radio and assist guests with general information or needs.
  • Provide lead direction and training to EVS Attendants and community service workers.
  • Organize and assign work, set priorities, and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Conduct regular quality inspections and contribute to the development of work procedures.
  • Maintain EVS equipment, materials, and supplies in proper condition.
  • Report maintenance needs or safety hazards to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements

  • Two years of full-time experience in EVS, custodial work, or housekeeping services.
  • At least one year of lead or supervisory experience.
  • Valid Class C, Nevada Driver's License at time of appointment.
  • Ability to pass the airport's Badging Security Class and complete a Defensive Driving Class.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Additional Information

  • Work extended shifts or be called back in emergency situations.
  • May be exposed to body fluids and hazardous substances.
  • Permanent employees must maintain residency within Clark County.
