Overview
Iron Workers at TCL Specialties play a critical role in the construction, installation, and maintenance of structural and reinforcing steel. This position requires strong technical skill, physical capability, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities
- Install, align, and secure structural steel beams, columns, and girders.
- Bolt, weld, or rivet steel components according to engineered plans.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Operate cranes, hoists, and rigging equipment to move heavy materials.
- Cut, bend, tie, and place reinforcing steel for concrete structures.
- Follow placement drawings to ensure correct spacing and layout.
- Secure rebar using hand tools, power tools, and tying equipment.
- Set up and inspect rigging, slings, chokers, and lifting devices.
- Work at heights using fall‑protection equipment.
- Follow all TCL safety policies, OSHA standards, and site‑specific procedures.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments.
- Collaborate with foremen, supervisors, and other trades.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support project goals.
Requirements
- Experience in structural or reinforcing ironwork.
- Ability to read construction drawings and follow instructions.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment.
- Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather.
- Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Reliable attendance and teamwork mindset.
- NCCER, OSHA‑10/30, or other industry certifications.
- Welding experience or certification.
- Previous work on industrial, commercial, or heavy‑civil projects.

Additional Information
- Full‑time; overtime and weekend work may be required.
- Requires PPE including hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, and fall protection.
