Overview

The Pipefitter is responsible for installing, assembling, fabricating, maintaining, and repairing mechanical piping systems. They analyze blueprints to determine the necessary pipes and the most efficient installation methods.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, cut, and fabricate systems of pipes, valves, traps, and regulators from blueprints or verbal instructions.
• Maintain and repair all types of valves, regulators, traps, and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair high pressure hydraulic systems, boilers, and associated piping and accessories.
• Make decisions on salvaging or scrapping equipment or parts for repair or replacement.
• Assist other crafts as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work shift work and rotating schedules, including overtime and call-outs.
• 4 years of manufacturing and/or heavy industrial experience in the skilled trade.
