Overview

We are seeking an experienced Welder to perform welding tasks on various metal components and equipment used in the coal mining industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding background, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding tasks according to company specifications, blueprints, and safety standards.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols.
• Maintain welding equipment and workspace in a clean and safe condition.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
• Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and rigging equipment to shape, cut, and assemble metal parts.
• Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
• Conduct pipe threading, soldering, and mechanical assembly for piping systems.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials.
• Follow safety protocols diligently while working.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and stick welding preferred.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.

Additional Information

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
• Shift: 8 hour shift
• Ability to Commute: Morgantown, WV 26505 (Preferred)
• Ability to Relocate: Morgantown, WV 26505: Relocate before starting work (Required)
• Work Location: In person
