Responsibilities

• Maintain sufficient personal hand tools for assigned tasks.
• Ensure quality workmanship on all mechanical system installations.
• Schedule daily and weekly trade activities.
• Manage trade related material, tool, and equipment requisitions.
• Ensure trade specific workforce quality.
• Meet or exceed established production standards.
• Identify sub-standard situations in pipefitting.
• Perform pipe welding using SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW.
• Seal pipe with aesthetically pleasing, solid welds.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of concepts, techniques, and procedures.
• Coordinate tasks under established procedures.
• Work under general supervision of an experienced professional or manager.
• Provide supervision and guidance of crews.

Requirements

• Field Welder 1 requires indirect supervision.
• Ability to work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas.
• Capable of working in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and other adverse locations.
• Ability to climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch.
• Ability to work in all types of weather.
• Working knowledge of all trade materials and tools.
• Ability to lift and carry 51 to 75 lbs occasionally, and/or 31 to 45 pounds of force frequently.
