Overview
Core 4x4 designs and manufactures aftermarket suspension and steering components for Jeeps and trucks, emphasizing the structural integrity of every part produced in their Orem, Utah shop. Welders are crucial to ensuring the quality and durability of components that are used in demanding conditions.
Responsibilities
- MIG weld DOM tubing, plate, and brackets on suspension and steering components
- Work from fixtures and jigs to maintain dimensional accuracy and weld consistency
- Read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and bills of materials
- Inspect your own work for fit, finish, and weld quality before it moves to powder coat
- Maintain your station, equipment, and consumable inventory
- Hit production targets
- Flag fixture, material, or process issues before they become production problems
Requirements
- 2+ years MIG welding on structural or chassis components (DOM tubing experience preferred)
- Ability to read prints, weld symbols, and BOMs
- Comfortable with jigs, fixtures, and production fabrication
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and stand throughout your shift
- Consistent, reliable attendance
