Overview
The Industrial Maintenance Technician position involves troubleshooting and repairing various equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and providing technical assistance within the plant. The role requires ensuring equipment functionality to produce conforming components and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment including machine tools, fork trucks, vehicles, air compressors, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct repairs on minor equipment such as hand tools, positioners, and welders as assigned.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical failures on equipment.
- Maintain proper inventory and supply levels for maintenance programs.
- Establish repair schedules and scope of work based on the shop work order system.
- Assist team members with repairs as assigned.
- Provide guidance and training to maintenance personnel as requested.
- Offer technical assistance to other departments as needed.
- Contact vendors for quotes and technical assistance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 year trade school or 2 years college credit in applicable areas or equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of Major Tool material handling training on boom and scissor lift, fork truck, and crane.
- Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend.
- Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and 25 to 50 pounds frequently.
- Near acuity and accommodation for reading machine gauges and blueprints.
- Ability to monitor machine sounds for diagnosis.

- Position reports to the Maintenance Manager.
- Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
