Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team in Stark County. This role involves setting up, assembling, and welding a variety of metal alloys to precise specifications and drawings, with a focus on producing high-quality work in a fast-paced fabrication environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, brazing, and other welding processes on steel, stainless steel, copper, and other alloys.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Fabricate and assemble custom weldments and fixtures.
- Set up and monitor welding equipment for proper operation.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and structural integrity.
- Grind, deburr, and finish materials as needed.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Follow ASME standards and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Welding training from an accredited welding program preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Capability to pass ASME 6G weld certification.
- Previous welding or fabrication experience preferred.
- ASME welding experience and certifications are a plus.
