Overview
This is a stable, direct-hire welding position with consistent hours, union benefits, and long-term employment. The Welder is responsible for producing high-quality welds on vessels and related components using multiple welding processes in a structured production environment.
Responsibilities
- Successfully pass a 3G GMAW (MIG) welding test
- Successfully pass a 2G SMAW (Stick) welding test
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and specifications
- Perform GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and SMAW (Stick) welding per approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
- Weld fittings, pipes, nozzles, and flanges while maintaining required tolerances
- Weld both interior and exterior surfaces of components as required
- Complete assigned work efficiently while meeting quality and workmanship standards
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Identify and report unsafe working conditions or equipment
- Accurately complete daily time sheets and required documentation
- Properly handle and care for tools, equipment, parts, and assemblies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Remain accountable for all work performed
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor and/or Plant Manager
Requirements
- Experience welding with multiple processes
- Proficient in Vehicle & Fleet Welding
- Proficient in Blueprint Reading
