Overview
Aiken Technical College is seeking Welding Adjunct Instructors to join their team. The position involves varying class schedules and may require teaching during the day, evenings, weekends, or online.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction including hands-on and theory.
- Manage classroom and perform administrative tasks such as reports and syllabus development.
- Prepare and maintain current course syllabi.
- Ensure courses are taught according to established syllabi.
- Recommend instructional materials and laboratory facilities for courses.
- Supervise students.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Welding Technology or equivalent with five years of direct welding experience.
- Valid/current credentials such as AWS, CWI/CWE.
- Completion of a federally approved apprenticeship program considered with proper certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field combined with direct experience is acceptable.
- Knowledge and experience in welding theory, metallurgy, mathematics, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to AWS and industry standards.
