Overview

The Airport Lounge Cleaner, also known as an Appearance Care Associate, is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at LaGuardia Airport. This role focuses on guest satisfaction and compliance with sanitation regulations while performing a variety of cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and break rooms.
• Restock beverage stations.
• Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
• Empty wastebaskets and recyclables and transport them to disposal areas.
• Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and floors in restrooms.
• Replenish restroom supplies and polish metalwork including fixtures and fittings.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors; additional floor work may include scrubbing, waxing, and polishing.
• Wash walls and woodwork, clean windows, door panels, partitions, and window sills.
• Notify supervisor of any maintenance repairs or additions observed.
• Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, equipment, and partitions.
• Stand during the entire scheduled shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the housekeeping/janitorial field.
• Ability to maintain a presentable and polished appearance in a best-in-class environment.
• Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced work shift up to ten hours.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to walk, bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
• Report on work on a regular and timely basis.
• Adhere to all local and state health department guidelines.
• Able to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Must pass and obtain security background check and clearance to work in the airport environment.
