Overview
The Certified Welding Inspector position in Cincinnati, OH involves performing internal and external weldment inspections for military and industrial products. The company has been a leader in engineering and manufacturing since 1937.
Responsibilities
- Perform internal and external inspections to determine if a weldment meets acceptance criteria.
- Ensure all work is performed to the correct configuration revision and within applicable requirements.
- Interpret codes and specifications according to drawing requirements.
- Compile and submit data on acceptance or rejection of weld quality.
- Properly dispose of rejected parts in accordance with Quality procedures.
- Recommend and approve repairs during inspection of completed work.
- Assist in training and certification of production welders and development of weld process specifications.
- Maintain records of qualifications of welders and other required information.
- Stop weld operations that do not comply with relevant specifications.
- Support and communicate the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
- Adhere to all quality and safety standards.
- Support other projects and perform duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of relevant welding and inspection experience or equivalent training.
- Valid CWI certification issued by AWS.
- AWS endorsements in AWS 1, D1.2, D1.3, and D1.6 desired.
- Must maintain and renew certification with AWS through continuing education.
- Able to read and interpret welding drawings, weld symbols, and specifications.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in standard business software.

- Location: Cincinnati, OH
- Compensation: $35 to 45/hour with benefits and PTO.
- Hours: 6a to 230p with occasional overtime and weekend work.
