Overview

Clover Park Technical College (CPTC) is seeking a highly-skilled instructor to teach in their Mechatronics program across all levels. The ideal candidate will have real-world experience in the automation ecosystem and a passion for mentoring a diverse student body in industrial mechatronics and automation applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in mechatronics systems.
• Design and facilitate hands-on learning experiences for students.
• Translate complex industry concepts into clear lessons.
• Coach students through real-world problem-solving processes.
• Develop and update curriculum and learning materials.
• Provide individualized feedback and mentoring to students.
• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
• Model and teach safe work practices.
• Maintain instructional labs and equipment.
• Guide students in exploring career pathways.

Requirements

• Demonstrated hands-on industry experience in mechatronics and automation.
• Experience with complex systems integrating mechanical, electrical, and control technologies.
• Ability to safely work in and lead lab/shop environments.
• Ability to interpret and teach from technical documentation.
• Clear professional communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
