Responsibilities
- Maintain the physical grounds of the airport including cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubs, and tending flower beds.
- Perform painting, cleaning, maintenance, and repair on airport property and facilities.
- Execute day-to-day activities outlined in the airport's Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan and Spill Prevention and Countermeasure Control Plan.
- Monitor airport grounds for hazards and security issues in compliance with FAA regulations.
- Remove foreign object debris from the Air Operations Area and other areas of the airport.
- Maintain the airport maintenance facility in an organized manner.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment.
- Utilize various tools and equipment for installing or repairing facilities and structures.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely on aircraft parking aprons, taxiways, and runways.
- Ability to work independently and carry out instructions in various forms.
