Overview

The Lube Technician position is a regular part-time role focused on semi-skilled mechanical equipment repair and maintenance for gasoline and diesel powered automotive stock and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate should be eager and motivated to learn and advance into a Mechanic role.

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-skilled mechanical equipment repair work on gasoline and diesel powered automotive stock and heavy equipment.
• Conduct equipment service, tire repair, welding part procurement, and maintenance.
• Execute preventative maintenance including oil or fluid changes and chassis lubrication.
• Repair or replace lights, brakes, tires, tubes, chassis parts, and vehicle components.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in Safety Programs.
• Follow procedures for requisitions and maintain records of labor and parts used.
• Test and inspect completed work for effective performance.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Perform minor electrical and diagnostic work as needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of apprentice level automotive mechanic experience with gasoline and heavy diesel equipment.
• Current WA State Driver’s License.
• Obtain First Aid/CPR Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Welding training and certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Work is performed in shop and outdoor settings for extended periods.
• Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and varying temperatures.
• Requires flexibility in working hours and on-call response to equipment failures.
