Overview
The Lube Technician position is a regular part-time role focused on semi-skilled mechanical equipment repair and maintenance for gasoline and diesel powered automotive stock and heavy equipment. The ideal candidate should be eager and motivated to learn and advance into a Mechanic role.
Responsibilities
- Perform semi-skilled mechanical equipment repair work on gasoline and diesel powered automotive stock and heavy equipment.
- Conduct equipment service, tire repair, welding part procurement, and maintenance.
- Execute preventative maintenance including oil or fluid changes and chassis lubrication.
- Repair or replace lights, brakes, tires, tubes, chassis parts, and vehicle components.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in Safety Programs.
- Follow procedures for requisitions and maintain records of labor and parts used.
- Test and inspect completed work for effective performance.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
- Perform minor electrical and diagnostic work as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two years of apprentice level automotive mechanic experience with gasoline and heavy diesel equipment.
- Current WA State Driver’s License.
- Obtain First Aid/CPR Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Welding training and certification preferred.

- Work is performed in shop and outdoor settings for extended periods.
- Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and varying temperatures.
- Requires flexibility in working hours and on-call response to equipment failures.
