Overview
The Skilled Maintenance Technician II - Construction position involves performing various skilled construction, maintenance, and repair duties in support of the Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services department. The role requires technical assistance to supervisory staff and collaboration with team members on maintenance tasks, including responding to emergencies and winter weather callouts.
Responsibilities
- Excavate, demo, and prepare sites for park amenities and concrete installation.
- Pressure wash, caulk, patch, and paint structural amenities and infrastructure.
- Place and finish various concrete mixes for repairs and new construction.
- Remove and replace damaged sidewalk panels.
- Transport and operate light-duty and heavy-duty equipment.
- Manage assigned work orders through an online system and assist with snow removal.
- Assist the welding team with fabrication and welding repairs.
- Transport, set up, operate, and tear down sites for special events.
- Operate equipment for concrete grinding and graffiti removal.
- Provide oversight of contracted services to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with specialized training in concrete installation.
- Three years of full-time skilled maintenance or technical experience in concrete installation and maintenance.
- Valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restrictions.

- Work schedule includes responding to after-hours emergencies and winter weather callouts.
- Position is subject to budget-required furloughs in 2026.
