Overview

The Senior Maintenance Worker for Park Services is responsible for maintaining and beautifying various Town-owned properties under direct supervision. This role involves operating landscaping equipment, performing maintenance tasks, and assisting in special events.

Responsibilities

• Operates commercial landscape and turf care equipment.
• Plants, cultivates, prunes, and removes trees, shrubs, and flowers.
• Applies herbicides, insecticides, and pesticides under supervision.
• Collects and disposes of trash in various areas.
• Installs and repairs irrigation systems and performs system checks.
• Assembles, installs, maintains, and inspects playground and park equipment.
• Performs inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Assists in preparing for special events and Town functions.
• Prepares flower beds and works in confined areas.
• Works safely near high-speed traffic.
• Assists the Crew Leader in directing work crews.
• Prepares and maintains athletic fields.
• Adheres to safety and departmental policies.
• May work evenings and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
