Overview

The Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on various types of presses, conveyors, and associated equipment. The role requires effective communication across all levels of the company and a strong background in maintenance within a factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs on all production equipment.
• Read and interpret equipment prints/manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance repairs and service.
• Perform all scheduled preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
• Perform all lubrication and filtration duties on all equipment assigned.
• Perform project maintenance as assigned.
• Communicate at all levels within the company, including Department Manager, Supervisors, Operators, and maintenance department members.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and related technical training.
• Minimum of five (5) years of on-the-job maintenance training and experience in a factory equipment environment preferred.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and some electrical applications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and work orders.
• Must be able to use measuring equipment, welders, and have own hand tools.
• Possess good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others and work independently.
• Consistently exhibit appropriate attendance habits.
• Heavy press equipment experience is a plus.
