Overview

The Machine Operator/Material Handler role involves operating saws to cut metal bars and structural material in a heavy metals manufacturing environment. The position requires ensuring high-quality cuts, conducting inspections, and handling materials with a forklift while adhering to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws to cut metal bars and structural material according to work orders.
• Ensure accurate, high-quality cuts.
• Perform in-process and final inspections.
• Handle material using a forklift.
• Follow strict safety procedures and production standards.

Requirements

• Forklift operation experience.
• Heavy industrial and/or metalworking experience.
• Basic machining experience, preferably in saw cutting.

Additional Information

• Shifts available: 2nd & 3rd.
• 2nd shift hours: 2:00pm-10:00pm.
• 3rd shift hours: 10:00pm-6:00am.
• Overtime expected: 5-10 hours per week.
• Workplace type: Fully onsite in Crystal Lake, IL.
