Overview
The Mechanical General Superintendent - Tanks at Bechtel will lead a team and supervise superintendents and craft professionals on a mid-scale LNG production and export facility project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The role involves ensuring compliance with project policies and procedures while overseeing construction operations and team development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct craft activities and subordinate superintendents.
- Engage proactively with team development through competency assessment and feedback.
- Determine workforce requirements and prepare construction progress reports.
- Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and project policies.
- Coordinate engineering solutions with subcontractors and craft professionals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of construction methods for full containment LNG tank construction.
- Experience with welding processes and large construction equipment.
- Familiarity with engineering design documents and technical specifications.
- Ability to work in a field construction environment and manage interfaces between teams.
