Overview

U.S. Pipe is seeking a Manufacturing Associate - Welder to join their team, contributing to the production of quality water and wastewater products. The company has a long-standing history of supporting local governments and businesses across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Identify fabrication requirements written on each piece of pipe.
  • Place pipe in machine, center the pipe, and tighten for work.
  • Machine tapered threads into the pipe and verify measurements.
  • Test the flange to ensure it screws onto the pipe properly.
  • Apply glue on pipe and flange and use the machine to tighten the flange.
  • Run the cutting tool across the surface of the face of the flange.
  • Remove pipe from machine and place on boards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Previous experience with machinery is desired.
  • Good with math and able to read a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Ability to understand machinery processes.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Team player with a willingness to help and volunteer.

Additional Information

  • Exposure to extreme heat and cold, noise, vibration, oils, and dust.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Required to wear PPE including steel toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
