Overview
Join Schneider Electric's dynamic manufacturing team as a Controls Specialist on the 2nd shift, where you'll drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence in an innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide controls and technical support for various shift production including fabrication, metal finishing, and assembly.
- Identify and eliminate production barriers for various levels of automation including stamping presses, welders, conveyors, automated assembly, and robotics.
- Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robotics, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, and operator interfaces.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance on existing machine control modifications or installations.
- Create, maintain, and keep current all documentation including electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics, panel layouts, PLC, operator display, and robot programs.
- Implement and maintain a data collection system for shop floor production equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 Year College Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in the Electrical field.
- Must be open to working 2nd shift and weekends.
- Experience with Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
- Strong PLC programming skills.
- Electrical/Mechanical CAD Experience.
- Motion Control Experience.
- Robot programming Experience.
- Machine Vision Experience.
- Ability to prepare, read, and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures, and guidelines.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
