Overview
The Electrical Mechanical Tech is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and loading electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated equipment. This role involves working with electrical systems and machinery while adhering to safety standards and electrical codes.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, repair, troubleshoot, test, and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures.
- Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Follow electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications using hand tools and test equipment.
- Install power supply wiring and conduct for newly installed machines and equipment.
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment according to diagrams and operation manuals.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment and connect cables between machines.
- Replace AC/DC motors and plan layout of wiring and install electrical apparatus.
- Detect malfunctioning apparatus using test equipment and replace damaged wires and cables.
- Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines.
- Perform tasks safely in accordance with OSHA and LOTO standards.
