Overview
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for the efficient repair of heavy equipment machinery and components, performing diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and service repairs. Curtis Contracting, Inc. is a Class 'A' contractor with a focus on ethics, quality, and safety, established in 1985.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic and complex diagnostics, inspections, maintenance, and service repairs on heavy equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot using diagnostic tools.
- Maintain regular customer contact regarding repairs.
- Complete work in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining and cleaning the shop area, tools, and company vehicles.
- Collaborate with other technicians and parts personnel.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment.
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment repair.
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable Motor Vehicle Status.
- Ability to perform diagnostics on equipment and communicate repairs.
- Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and diesel repairs.
- Undercarriage component knowledge.
- Computer skills for reporting technical issues and data entry.
- Must have own tools.
