Overview

Stellar Energy is seeking a Structural Welder for the 2nd shift in Jacksonville, FL. The role involves performing various welding functions on structural plate and pipe while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding functions on structural plate and 6G pipe using SMAW, FCAW, and GTAW.
• Cross train for multi-function structural and piping assembly processes.
• Understand job specific WPS/PQRs and set up machines for performance in all positions.
• Analyze blueprints for weld insignia and apply them to assembly components.
• Identify, measure, cut, and prepare metal surfaces for welding.
• Conduct visual inspections of pre- and post-welded surfaces.
• Interpret insufficient weld criteria and blend repairs efficiently.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Requirements

• 1-2 years’ experience welding.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience in threading, grinding, welding, brazing, rigging, plasma cutting, gas arc cutting.
• Fluent in understanding job specific WPS/PQRs.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and wear protective gear for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-conscious mindset.
• Good physical condition; able to lift heavy materials and work in various positions.

Additional Information

• Full-time position.
• Second shift hours are Monday through Friday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
