Responsibilities

• Assists operator in making set-ups as required.
• Observes incoming material and monitors coil feed process.
• Loads welder with slit coil using fork trucks and other material handling equipment.
• Monitors run out equipment and checks material coming off welder.
• Reports defects or equipment malfunctions to Operator or Supervisor.
• Performs minor maintenance and reports malfunctions to supervisor.
• Maintains neat and orderly work area.
• Restocks coils of flat bar and performs welding tasks as required.
• Adheres to all safety rules and participates in safety efforts.

Requirements

• High School diploma and some manufacturing or related experience.
• Trade school preferred in Welding or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and technical manuals.
• Ability to write clear instructions and fill out required paperwork.
• Ability to perform basic math as it relates to production items.
