Overview

The Mig Welder - 2nd shift position at FORVIA involves manual MIG welding of production parts and repair of rework parts while ensuring quality and production standards are met. FORVIA is an automotive technology group focused on innovative mobility solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce parts by loading and positioning components into the weld fixture and welding components together.
  • Perform dimensional inspections to determine product quality.
  • Keep count of completed products on each run.
  • Record and dispose of defective products in a designated manner.
  • Self-inspect welds and parts visually for defects.
  • Check all safety controls for proper operation at the start of the shift.
  • Notify the GAP Leader and/or Supervisor of defects or major equipment malfunctions.
  • Pack parts into designated containers and record information according to QS9000 instructions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Skills in pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, turning, walking, gripping, and bending.
  • Background check may be required.
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required.

  • Temp-to-Hire position
  • Full Time work available
  • Weekend work required
  • Second Shift (Monday through Saturday from 02:00pm to 10:30pm)
  • Location: Arlington (Dallas-Fort Worth), TX
