Overview
DIRECT HIRE: Seeking motivated and dependable Welders/Fabricators to join the structural steel manufacturing team. This position involves fabricating and assembling structural steel components using specialized fabrication equipment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble structural steel components according to blueprints, work orders, and production specifications.
- Operate fabrication equipment including plasma tables, web weld stations, flange weld stations, and dual weld stations.
- Measure, cut, fit, and position steel materials accurately using hand tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment.
- Read and interpret tape measurements precisely to ensure accurate dimensions and proper fit-up of structural components.
- Perform welding and tack welding on structural steel assemblies when required using approved welding procedures.
- Inspect fabricated components for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with production standards.
- Maintain safe and organized work areas while following company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist with material handling, positioning, and movement of steel components using shop equipment and overhead lifting devices.
- Collaborate with production teams and supervisors to maintain workflow efficiency and meet production deadlines.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of fabrication tools and equipment.
- Identify and report equipment malfunctions, material defects, or production issues to supervisors promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, and workplace safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience in structural steel fabrication, manufacturing or welding preferred.
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure is required.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as plasma tables, weld stations, or metalworking machinery is preferred.
- Welding experience with MIG, Flux-Core or structural steel welding is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and fabrication specifications preferred.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy steel materials safely.
- Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company procedures and OSHA standards.

- Pay Range: $21hr - $24hr
- 2nd Shift: M - T, 3:30pm - 2am
