Overview

At Allegion, we help keep people safe and secure with over 40 brands and 14,000+ employees globally. As a Spot Welder at Allegion's Steelcraft facility, you will play a key role in manufacturing steel frames and doors, performing various manual tasks to support production.

Responsibilities

• Perform production work as directed to assist Machine Operators in setting up and operating machines.
• Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies, and trucks.
• Load and unload trucks, count, weigh, transport, and pile materials in storage areas.
• Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, etc.
• Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed.
• Clean materials.
• Follow standardized methods of work.

Requirements

• Ability to see well, including strong depth perception and color distinction.
• Must be able to continuously or near continuously stand and maintain balance.
• Ability to frequently lift and carry 25-50 lbs, stoop, twist, and reach overhead and to the side.
• Occasional walking, pushing, and pulling heavy carts may be required.
• Climbing, kneeling, and crouching may also be required.
