Job Description
Overview
A Pipe Welder prepares and welds pipe and fittings for various material types as specified by construction drawings and technical guidance documents. The position requires a minimum of 1 year of Tig CuNi Pipe Welding experience and the ability to pass a hands-on welding test.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and weld pipe and fittings according to construction drawings.
- Work with various material types as specified by technical guidance documents.
- Demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Tig pipe welding test.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year Tig CuNi Pipe Welding experience.
- Ability to pass a hands-on Tig (heli-arc) pipe welding test on CuNi pipe.
- Experience welding in a 6G position on 2" pipe with 3/32" wall thickness.
- Knowledge of gas purge welding with 1/8" root opening and uphill weld progression.
