Overview
The Mig Welder / Fabricator will weld various metals and fabricate manufactured parts to complete production processes, ensuring quality and safety in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Use standard industry tools and machinery.
- Have knowledge of material types and gauge thickness.
- Prepare product for the next step in the production process by checking for defects.
- Report defective materials or questionable quality conditions.
- Perform all essential functions within quality requirements.
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Follow all required safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of mig welding experience on aluminum or stainless.
- Welding certificate preferred.
- Ability to weld multiple materials and thicknesses.
- Ability to follow established SOP's and Work Instructions.
- Must know simple math and decimal to fraction conversions.
- Ability to set up machine as required.
- Must be able to follow directions and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Must be able to read a tape measurer.
- Must be detail-oriented and thorough.
- Ability to be self-motivated.
- Ability to complete required paperwork accurately.
