Overview

hth companies is an industrial services provider offering mechanical insulation, scaffolding, industrial cleaning, and various other services to meet customers' needs across the Midwest. The Pipefitter will configure, install, fit, and maintain various piping systems, ensuring their smooth operation.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials.
• Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions to create working procedures based on specifications.
• Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
• Welds, cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fits pipes.
• Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps.
• Installs various types of pipe covering and safely removes old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures.
• Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks, and reports or resolves problems.
• Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation.
• Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
• Assists with jobsite safety to comply with all OSHA regulations.
• Actively champions a positive workplace and safety culture.
• Performs various other duties and functions as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Basic math skills.
• Ability to use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Working understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must provide proof of successful completion of OSHA 10 hour within 60 days of starting.
