Meeco Sullivan - The Marina Company, with over 200 years of experience, specializes in high-quality steel, timber, and aluminum dock systems. The Welder's primary responsibility is MIG welding aluminum parts and assembling dock structures while ensuring safety and quality control.
Responsibilities
- Create quality welds according to blueprints.
- Inspect welds for accuracy.
- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping, and cutting aluminum parts.
- Change wire and welding as needed.
- Package, identify, and move finished products to the proper location.
- Ensure all equipment is set up and used safely.
- Operate forklift if required and trained.
- Perform first piece inspections and subsequent inspections as required.
- Prepare work by studying assembly instructions and gathering parts.
- Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit.
- Verify specifications by measuring complete components.
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions and notifying supervisors.
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements on equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- Check stock to determine inventory level and anticipate needed supplies.
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
