Job Description
Overview
The PRODUCTION SHOP PLANNER (WELDER) position is located in the STRUCTURAL SHOP of the PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT at PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. The role involves planning and coordinating production tasks while maintaining communication with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Perform work functions as directed by the Work Packaging Supervisor or Shop Supervision.
- Accomplish assignments using a high degree of judgment and initiative.
- Contact the proper code or shop regarding problems and expedite information to meet key events.
- Maintain contact with engineering codes, supply personnel, trade journeymen, supervisors, and project managers.
