Overview

This position is for a Pipefitter at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), located at Base Cape Cod in Buzzards Bay, MA. The role involves the installation, modification, and repair of high-pressure piping systems.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and repair high-pressure piping systems.
• Conduct inspections and troubleshoot various new and existing piping systems.
• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of steam heating, sanitary and storm drainage systems, and low-pressure air.
• Install and repair commodes, lavatories, showers, water heaters, and various pumps.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair, and test piping and tubing made from various materials.
• Lay out projects, take measurements, and make templates, jigs, and fixtures.
• Set up system routes, place and cut route openings, install regulating devices, and place hangers.
