Military Treatment Facilities under DHA

Overview

This position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital in Fort Wainwright, Alaska, where the Pipefitter will be responsible for various plumbing tasks and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lay out work utilizing blueprints or sketches as provided.
• Determine required tools and estimate the amount of plumbing materials and equipment necessary to complete work assignments.
• Install, repair, maintain, and replace steam lines, valves, radiators, heaters, storage and condensate tanks, steam tables, sterilizers, steam traps, control fittings, expansion joints, steam pressure cookers, etc.
• Plan and lay out work in accordance with required code, work orders, engineer's drawings, and technical manuals.
• Perform a full range of work involved in preventative maintenance, repair, overhaul, and adjustment of plumbing, pumping, heating, and kitchen cooking systems.
• Provide troubleshooting and analyze defects.
