Welding Shop in Houston, TX

Overview

We are a small but busy and growing company specializing in the fabrication and occasionally installation of custom miscellaneous metals including railings, handrails, ladders, and small warehouse loading dock stairs. We are looking to add several high energy, hardworking welder/shop helpers to our team, with starting pay at $14/hour and potential for advancement as skills grow.

Responsibilities

• Assist in metal fabrication and installation tasks.
• Work primarily in the shop with some field installation.
• Use basic power tools such as grinders, saws, and drills.

Requirements

• Must be able to read a tape measure.
• Have experience using basic power tools.
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Tolerate working in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in a construction or fabrication-related work environment.
• Be able to pass a drug test upon hire and randomly thereafter.
• Have reliable transportation to the shop and other locations.
• Provide documentation of eligibility to work in the U.S.

Additional Information

• Full-time position with occasional overtime.
• Located in the Spring Branch area of Houston.
• Job sites include the greater Houston area and possible further travel.
